All works of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Department would go completely online within a year, said the department’s Secretary Panchanan Dash.
He said the newly-formed department would create employment opportunities for the youth.According to the direction of departmental Minister Damodar Rout, it would begin the complete online process to bring transparency in the department and make it popular among the youth.
Now, Dash said, the entrepreneurs are submitting their applications at the District Industries Centres (DICs). But through the new online process, they can easily send EM-1 forms to the department, he added.
Till Wednesday, 1,215 persons have sent their EM-1 forms and out of them 1,029 persons’ forms have been recommended by the department, said Dash, adding, “We hope that over 2,000 entrepreneurs will send their proposals this year.”
Similarly, EM-2 application forms would be accepted through online from entrepreneurs by July last week, he said.
Even the department’s works on sanction of capital investment and subsidy on the interest rate through the IPR- 2007, the MSME Development Policy- 2009 and the Food Processing Policy- 2013 for entrepreneurs would be conducted online to check corruption, said Dash.
