More than 4 thousand posts are vacant in Madhya Pradesh Higher Education Department. In the first phase, 2053 posts were to be recruited, but MPPSC has advertised only for 1696 posts. For this MPPSC has issued 38 advertisements for different posts. These have been issued separately so that if one recruitment stops due to any reason, it does not affect others.
In the first phase, 1,669 posts of Assistant Professor, 255 of Librarian and 129 of Sports Officer will be recruited in various subjects. Out of these only 1696 posts are being filled.
The vacant posts will be filled in two phases. In the first phase, 2053 posts were to be filled. The remaining posts will be recruited in the second phase. However, when will these posts be filled, no decision has been taken in this regard.
The department had filled about two and a half thousand posts five years ago in 2017. Earlier in 1992, the post of General came out. After that recruitment was not done for general category, but backlog posts were filled in 1994-98. After a long time the posts of general were filled in 2017.
There are 4000 vacancies in the Higher Education Department. Of these, only 5% of the sanctioned posts can be filled every year. Even after this, the Higher Education Department has taken out 2053 vacancies in the first phase by combining all types of posts for recruitment together.
