A two-member team of the Odisha State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (OSCPCR) on Saturday visited Bagada village in Kendrapada and met the 17-year-old minor girl, who was allegedly molested by a local youth while she was sweeping a school, in which she was working as a sweeper. The youth also allegedly tried to rape her.
Team members Rajlaxmi Das and Sandhyabati Pradhan met the victim’s mother, who is undergoing treatment at the District Headquarters Hospital here as she made an attempt to commit suicide following the incident. Notably, the victim, who was working as a sweeper at Bagada-based private school, was allegedly molested with an attempt for rape on Friday by the local youth in the school premises. later, the victim brought the matter to the notice of her family members and the school authorities.
