An aspirant to get ticket from the BJD for the Bhadrak Assembly segment in the coming polls, laxmi Narayan Mohapatra has prepared establishing contact with grass root people. He is appealing the common people to cast their vote for those candidates only who are efficient and can effectively render services for the poor and the needy.
Mohapatra, a former student of Utkal University and Bhadrak College, has a long career in politics. He was vice-president and president of Bhadrak College students union and also Akhila Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad general secretary. He was a front leader of the Jayprakash Narayan movement in 1975 and had been imprisoned for 17 months. He was also elected as Utkal University Student Union general secretary in 1977. Mohapatra had fought Assembly elections in BJP ticket in 1985. In 1987, he had left the BJP and joined the BJD.
