'Modi's Acche Din meant for capitalists, corporates'

PNS

Slamming the Modi Government, CITU State vice-president Janardan Pati on Sunday said the slogan of Acche Din is meant for rich capitalists and corporate bodies instead of common people. Addressing the 7th conference of the Bhubaneswar Coordination Committee of Unions and Associations held here, Pati said, “While the new Central Government is inclined to bring labour reforms in favour of the proprietors, it has acted against the interests of Adivasis, Dalits, farmers and other common people by bringing out the land Ordinance.”

He further alleged that the Government is trying to avert any kind of oppositions by creating communal discrepancies among common people in the name of caste and religion. He called for a collective movement against such conspiracy. The meeting was attended by representatives from Central and State Government organisations, banks, insurance, airport and medical organisations.  The meeting stressed on issues like unemployment, inflation, land, corruption, privatisation of State-owned enterprises, FDI in bank and insurance sectors and privatisation and commercialisation of educational and health institutes, capitalism, etc.

Kshetra Mohan Das presided over the meeting. Besides, the committee elected its office-bearers for the next three years. The new office-bearers are Prabhas Chandra Sanda (president), Bamadeba Mishra (general secretary), Dusmanta Das (advisor) and Rupa Narayan Sahoo (treasurer), among others.
