The local Meteorological centre here forecasted moderate fog over some parts of the State during next 48 hours due to formation of a depression over southwest Bay of Bengal which moved northwestwards and lay centred at about 1,140 km south-southwest of Gopalpur.
However, heavy rain was ruled out. The depression would move west northwestwards and cross Sri lanka coast around late on Sunday night.
“The weather will be mainly dry over Odisha during next 24 hours,” said a Press release issued by the Met centre.However, distant cautionary signal number-One (DC-I) was hoisted at Paradip and Gopalpur ports.
