Dinamani Barik, son-in-law of Champua MlA Sanatan Mahakud on Thursday appeared before the Mahila police here and recorded his statement in connection with harassment charge levelled against him by Kavita Mahakud, a woman who claims her to be the daughter-in-law of the MlA.
Kavita alleged that Dinamani along with his MlA father-in-law was harassing her and she was not allowed to meet or stay with her husband Pankaj Mahakud as their marriage was not approved by the MlA’s family. Earlier on Tuesday, the MlA had recorded his statement at the Mahila Police Station under Section 162 of CrPC with the Inspector-In-Charge who happens to be the Investigating Officer (IO) in the case.
The woman claimed that she married Pankaj in 2012 after separating from her first husband Debasis Mahakud.
