A mega stadium under construction at Jharsuguda in the coming days will stand on same footing with that of the Barabati Stadium, Cuttack and a Community Centre with that of the Rabindra Mandap, Bhubaneswar," claimed Jharsuguda MlA Naba Kishore Das.
At present, Jharsuguda Women’s College has been awarded B plus grade status by NAAC and very soon it will be one among the best five colleges of the State. Even, the college will excel the Ramadevi College of Bhubaneswar, asserted Das.
The Jharsuguda MlA inaugurated a newly-constructed building with an estimated cost of Rs 70 lakh.
Attending as chief guest in the inauguration of new building of the Women’s College here, MlA Das lauded the leadership qualities of Principal Balbinder Kaur. In her welcome address, Principal Kaur expressed gratitude to the managing committee for which the college has excelled in all fields.
Professor Tahalu Sahu also expressed his satisfaction over academic achievements of the college. Among others, Senior lecturer Sushama Mohanty and senior advocate Girish Panda shared the dais. While lecturer Renuka Pujari gave welcome address, president of student union Puja Singh, vice president Jayshree Sahoo, assistant secretary Puja Pandey and secretary Dibya Soni were present, among others.
