A girl student of the Nakula Chandra Special Deaf and Dumb School, Balaram Prasad under Banarpal block in Angul district, was found dead in a canal near the school on Friday morning. The deceased was identified as Itishree Biswal. She had been missing for the last-three days. Locals first saw the body of Itishree floating in the canal and informed police, who identified the body. Meanwhile, family members of the deceased have alleged that their daughter died due to sheer negligence of the school authorities. While the incident has shocked locals, the Banarpal police have sent the body for postmortem and started further investigations.
