Ending days of delaying tactics, the Naveen Patnaik Government has finally given clearances to senior IPS officer Prakash Mishra to join as Special Secretary (Internal Security) in the Union Home Ministry. Mishra will join his new office on Friday.
After a DGP stint, Mishra had recently been appointed as the Chairman of the Odisha State Road Transport Corporation (OSRTC). Earlier, the Government had refused to send Mishra back to the Centre reportedly due to the Chief Minister’s certain political differences with the Narendra Modi-led Central Government.
