Purnendu Shekhar Mishra, General Manager of South Eastern Railway, will look after the work of East Coast Railway GM till the posting of new ECoR GM after superannuation ofi Umesh Singh on November 30.
Mishra, a resident of Bhubaneswar, joined in the Indian Railways Traffic Service in 1982. He has taken charge of the East Coast Railway at a time when many important projects are in crucial stages of construction or commissioning. It is expected that he will take up various issues facing the East Coast Railway with various stakeholders, including State Governments and other departments involved to expedite the infrastructural projects.
