The All Odisha Kinner and Thirdgender Association on Monday knocked at the door of the Odisha State Human Rights Commission (OSHRC) to protest against the alleged misbehaviour and abuse of a eunuch, Maneka, by Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel in the Rajdhani Express.
The association requested the OSHRC to take stringent action against the guilty RPF personnel.It might be mentioned here that, on February 16, 2017 Maneka had reserved a berth in the Rajdhani Express and travelling to New Delhi.
While she was going to the toilet, RPF ASI UK Mohan Rao allegedly misbehaved with her and asked her to get down from the train. When she protested, Rao allegedly abused her in filthy language and slapped her. Following which, the other co-passengers protested and an FIR was filed with the Travelling Ticket Examiner (TTE).The association alleging violation of human rights approached the OSHRC.
