Even as Opposition parties cry foul over the death of three women just after delivering babies at VSS Medical College, Burla, Health and Family Welfare Minister Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak has said necessary action will be initiated once the expert committee submits its report. Nayak informed that the expert committee has already visited hospital and discussed with the doctors there.
He said the expert committee is looking into all the aspects in the case, including possible side effect of medicine. He maintained that there is remote chance of administration of expired medicines to the three women as there is a system in place to discard them. The committee is expected to submit its report by Thursday after which necessary action shall be initiated.
