A migrant worker's body was brought back to
Bhubaneswar by air and to his home at Chandragiri by road thanks to
efforts by the Gajapati administration
Santos Sobhanayak from Chandragiri of Mohana block of Gajapati
district had migrated to Kerala but died on May 5 there. His post mortem
was done by the Kerala police.
Family members of Santos had urged Collector Gajapati Lingaraj Panda
to return the body back home. Block chairman Ranjib Sabar and ZP
member Sunil Bisoyi took initiatives whereas BDO of Mohana
Tapaswini Hansada discussed with Collector Panda over the matter.
Santos is survived by his bereaved wife, three daughters and old parents.
