Anita Chowdhary, a resident of Bondamunda, near Rourkela, had married a person, at Sakchi, Jamshedpur. Anita’s husband passed away during the year 2015.

While her husband died, Anita had one 10 months' old daughter and another daughter of 4 years old. At one point of time, she had even decided to commit suicide but again she decided to move forward.  Anita came to Rourkela and opted to stay with her two daughters in a rented quarter at Chhend colony at Rourkela. She took a small gumti (stall) on rent at Civil township and decided to sell Idli, Dosa and tea there and started selling there during  August, 2015.

She used to go everyday in a bicycle taking her two daughters on her bicycle, to the stall.  She was selling her food items in morning and evening hours and after selling, she was returning home and was taking care of her daughters.

During October, 2015, one kind hearted woman helped her in purchasing a scooty. She then went to run her stall in her scooty taking her two children. During the year 2016, momo idea came to Anita’s mind and she could recall that she was preparing momos in her in-laws house and everybody was appreciating her momos.  Anita thereafter started selling momos at Bhaskar square at Civil Township . She used to earn Rs 150-200 everyday by selling veg momos and paneer momos.

During the year 2018, Anita was diagonosed with Gall Blader stone. Looking into her struggle, a number of kind hearted persons including doctor helped her for her gallbladder operation.  After two months of break from her business due to operation, she again started going to Bhaskar square to sell momos. “After the death of my husband during the year 2015, everything had gone dark for me. I did not know, how I will live and how I will feed my two daughters. I had even thought to commit suicide but I again thought to move forward,” said Anita.
