The Odisha State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (OSCPCR) in collaboration with the UNICEF, Odisha and XIMB organised a two-day State consultation on ‘Prevention of child marriage in Odisha’ on March 13 and 14 here at the XIMB.
The consultation saw participation from Government Departments, district Child Protection officers from areas with high incidence of child marriages, INGOs and CSO networks. The consultation was inaugurated by Women and Child Welfare Secretary Arti Ahuja, OSCPCR chairperson Dr Sruti Mohapatra, UNICEF Odisha programme manager Padmavathi Yedla, DP Chowdhary from the State Judicial Academy and Father Augustine Vattamattam, SJ, Dean, Administration, XIMB
