A two-day awareness workshop on paediatric neurological disorders will be held here beginning from Friday.
The workshop ‘An Overview and Recent Advances in Management of Paediatric Neurological Disorders’, to be organised by the Zain Foundation Trust here will give be an opportunity for individuals within the autism spectrum disorder in the State to get first-hand information from eminent neurologists and experts from Mumbai-based Neurogen Brain and Spine Institute.
Neurological disorders cover a gamut of conditions that can be developmental in nature, genetic or caused due to an injury. These conditions result in the delayed development of physical, emotional, and social maturity capabilities. The workshop aims at spreading awareness on latest developments in the treatment of autism, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, mental retardation, etc. and how the stemcell therapy can help in the treatments, said trust member Gargi Bhattacharya.
The workshop would be followed by free OPD.
