An MCl employee, Abadh Kumar Chobe (50), died in a road accident when a coal-loaded truck ran over him in front of the main gate of the lakhanpur Mines in Jharsuguda district.
Chobe after registering his attendance in the office was going to the mines for duty, MCl sources said.
There was tension at the spot after death of an employee, but senior officials and police controlled the situation. General Manager of lakhanpur Mines RP Gupta issued a provisional appointment letter to the son of Chobe to save them. The MCl employees appreciated the GM’s swift move.
