The Commisionerate police on Tuesday arrested the mastermind allegedly involved in the murder of B Gunabati of Odia Bazaar in Cuttack city.
The accused was identified as B Prasad Rao. According to reports, the miscreants had entered Gunabati’s house to steal her son’s laptop, which contained some obscene photos.
As Gunabati saw them decamping with the laptop, they killed her by slitting her throat with a vegetable cutter.
The Lalbagh police said they would recreate the crime scene with the accused.
Earlier on Monday, the police had arrested two persons in this connection.
