PNS

Maoists have called for an Odisha Bandh on May 25 opposing the encounter in Padua in Koraput district in which five Red rebels were killed.

In a two-page letter issued to the media by the Andhra Odisha Border Special Zonal Committee (AOBSZC) of the Maoists, committee’s secretary Ganesh has condemned the encounter which took place on May 8.

Besides giving the bandh call, the ultras have also accused the BJP, the BJD and the TDP of looting natural resources from Padua area. The political parties are not willing to provide health services and forest land rights to the tribals of the region, the ultras alleged in the letter.
