Police on Monday found Maoist posters and banners put up by the Balangir-Bargarh Mahasamund Division of the CPI(Maoist) at Odiapalli village in the district.
In the posters, the Red rebels protested the killing of two Maoists in an encounter in village Salepali by a team of Bargarh police led by B Yugal Kishore on September 23.
The committee has alleged that their two comrades were allegedly raped, tortured and killed by police. The party’s human rights wing is going to take up the issue, mentioned the poster.
The Maoists after remaining silent for a brief period have tried to assert their presence in the district and put up the poster.
However, despite attempts the Bargarh district SP was unavailable for comments.
