In a shocking incident, a man killed his wife and later hanged himself to death at Charpali village in Bargarh district on Tuesday morning.
The deceased was identified as Bhuban Sahu and his wife Sebati. The couple has three children.
Sources said Bhuban, who was mentally-challenged, attacked his wife with a bill-hook and hacked her to death. She died on the spot. later, Bhuban committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling of the house.
Bijepur police station IIC Prakash Karna said, “On getting information, we rushed to the spot and found Sebati’s body lying in a pool of blood and the severed head lying beside it. Body of her husband Bhuban was also found hanging in the house.”
