A man on Tuesday hacked two of his nephews at Sapamundi village under the Thuamul Rampur police station in Kalahandi district over a land dispute.
The deceased was identified as Sambaru Majhi.
Sources said Sambaru and his uncle Phagunu Majhi were at loggerheads over a land dispute for a long time. But due to some reason Samabaru and his uncle Phagunu had an argument in the morning.
Livid with rage, Phagunu attacked Sambaru and his elder brother Baru with a sharp weapon. While Sambaru died on the spot, his brother suffered critical injuries in the attack and was rushed to a local hospital.
On getting information, police rushed to the spot and detained the accused for interrogation.
