In the most sensational murder case of Parshuram Pradhan, a former Sarpanch and RTI activist of Salebhata panchayat under Rairakhol sub division, the two main accused surrendered before the police on Friday.
The Rairakhol police arrested the duo who are also brothers and forwarded them to court. They were absconding since the murder on August 27.
The arrested persons were identified as Dasarath Dhal and his elder brother Rushidhar Dhal. Dasarath was a former secretary of Salebhata Cooperative Society.
Parshuran, the deceased former sarpanch, sought for some information on RTI on cooperative matters that enraged Dasarath. Further, on the basis of the allegations of Parsuram, the Vigilance had arrested Dasarath.
All these infuriated the accused duo brothers and they, with help of four others, brutally attacked Parshuram on August 27 evening and the latter succumbed to his injuries just after a few hours. The police had arrested two persons earlier in the case.
Two other accused in the case are also absconding, Rairakhol SDPO Hadibandhu Swain informed.
