The 8th anniversary of the Tirtharaj Shree Mahodadhi Arati programme will be held at the sea beach in front of the Swargadwara here on Monday evening.
The programme will be held from 5 pm to 8 pm in the evening. Meanwhile, Shankaracharya Swami Nischilanand Saraswati Maharaj will offer Maha Arati to Tirtharaj Mahodadhi (sea). The programme will be attended by the Puri Gajapati Maharaj along with many eminent personalities and saints from the State and outside. Eminent flautist Hariprasad Chaurasia will present a performance on the occasion, said Shree Mahodadhi Arati managing committee Secretary Sunil Pujapanda. Notably, the Puri Govardhan Math-Shree Shankaracharya Peeth had revamped the traditional practice of offering Arati to Mahodadhi (sea) eight years back.
