Odisha Stevedores limited (OSl) managing director Mahimananda Mishra was produced at the Cuttack Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate (SDJM) Court in connection with the Press Chhak bomb hurling case of 2013.
However, the court rejected Mishra’s bail plea and sent him to the Choudwar Circle Jail. The jail authorities were directed by the court to take proper healthcare of Mishra. He was previously lodged at the Samagol jail in Jagatsinghpur district.
While being escorted to be produced in the court, Mishra, who is arrested in connection with the murder of Seaways Shipping general manager Mahendra Swain case, said a big conspiracy was there behind his arrest.
Notably, criminal Ganesh Sahu of the Cuttack CDA area has been arrested in the bomb hurling case by the Madhupatna police. Police suspect that the bomb was hurled at the behest of Mishra.
According to sources, the Commissionerate police have petitioned for taking Mishra on a three-day remand for interrogation and further investigation.
Meanwhile, the Paradip police have interrogated Mishra’s two sons Chandan and Charchit and OSl accountant Rajendra Dalei in last two days.
