BJP Mahila Morcha State president Prabhati Parida on Tuesday filed an FIR at the Mahila Police Station here seeking action against BJD MlAs Shashibhushan Behera and Pramila Mallick for “threatening and making defaming remarks on party’s State general secretary lekhashri Samantasinghar”.
Parida too submitted a memorandum to the State Commission for Women in this regard.
“During a TV programme, Behera uttered ‘chup be’ at lekhashri while she was raising the issue of Odisha women being exploited outside the State. Similarly, during a movement, BJD Mahila president Mallick told in front of the camera that lekhashri had said Odisha women are doing flesh trade while the latter had never said this,” stated Parida.
She demanded that action be taken against Behera and Mallick by examining lekhashri’s statement in the TV programme.
