The 166th birth anniversary of Utkal Gaurav Madhusudan Das was observed by the Utkal Sammilani Mancheswar Industrial Branch here on Monday. Utkal Sammilani State president Guru Prasad Mohanty and Branch president Dilip Dashsharma garlanded the statue of Madhusudan at the Raj Bhavan.
Mohanty described Madhubabu as a great son of the Odisha soil, who had formed the Utkal Sammilani by uniting people of all the Odia-peaking areas and played a major role in formation of the Odisha State.
Among others, Utkal Sammilani adviser Padma Charan Nayak, State vice-president Annata Prasad Jena, State general secretary Dr Adwaita Kumar Parta, Mancheswar branch secretary Gobinda Chnadra Subudhi, branch assistant secretary Bibhuti Bhusan Swain, Bhubaneswar branch secretary Basanti Singh, Gopalkrushna Srichnadan, Debi Prassanna Pattanaik and Pradyumnna Satpathy were also present on this celebration.
