--Queries on diabetes addressed

: To make people aware of various aspects of diabetes, the Diabetes and Endocare Clinic in association with LIC, Brahmapur Division organised the 2nd edition of the Madhumeha Panchayat, an awareness and question-answer drive here on Sunday.
Renowned consultant endocrinologist Dr Sunil Kumar Kota was the moderator for the session, while Brahmapur MP Chandra Sekhar Sahu graced the event as the chief guest. Brahmapur MLA Bikram Panda, BeMC Mayor Sanghamitra Dalei, Vice Chancellor, Khallikote Unitary University Prof Prafulla Chandra Mohanty; Dean and Principal, MKCG Medical College Prof Abani Kanta Mishra and Senior Divisional Manager, LIC, Srikanta Dara graced the event as guests of honor.
Director, Roland Group of Institutes Dr Sruti Jammula introduced the guests. The speakers conveyed their gratitude to Dr Sunil Kota for his awareness drive, especially in dispelling the myths associated with diabetes. Following the inauguration ceremony, an expert panel of 10 doctors joined a question-answer session addressing the concerns of the audience. Dr Sunil Kota, Dr Prakash Ch Patra, Dr J Bharatudu, Dr Uma Shankar Mishra, Dr Nihar Ranjan Sahoo, Dr Amalendu Jena, Dr Sunanda Mohanty, Dr Anand Sastry, Dr Pravin Subudhi, Dr Swati Mishra were in the panel. More than 250 people from LIC and other various walks of life joined and got their concerns addressed.
