Madhu Jayanti was celebrated by various organisations here. Paradip lawyers’ Association organised a meeting at Dochhaki near the entrance of the Paradip Port.
After garlanding the statue of Utkal Gaurav Madhusudan Das, the speakers spoke about the contribution of Madhubabu for building a separate State called Odisha. Paradip Municipality chairperson Manjulaa Jena was the chief guest on the occasion. Chief Vigilance Officer of Paradip Port Trust Kashinath Mishra was the chief speaker.
Among others, Dr Pabitra Adhikari and Subash Chandra Biswal attended. The welcome address was given by the association president Suresh Kumar Das. The guests were introduced by association secretary Sanjay Kumar Mishra, while secretary Basanta Kumar Biswal read out the annual report. The school and college students, who were winners of the essay and debate competitions, were awarded. Vote of thanks was given by Kartika Mohanty.
Another programme was organised by Ama Odisha where Headmaster of Port Trust High School Narahari Parida and PK Dixit attended as guests. The meeting was presided over by Rabi Swain.
