lord's abode still has 'not final' Patta

PNS

It may sound strange but yet true. The Shreemandir, the abode of lord Jagannath and His siblings, lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra, is itself a revenue village called Badadeula Sahi.

After the Survey and Settlement conducted way back in 1963, the Record of Rights of the Shreemandir was prepared at the address: Puri Town Unit No-9, Badadeula sahi, Police Station No-9, Tehesil No-649, Puri Sadar and District Puri.

After due formalities, the Draft Record of Rights was published in 1981.

The record stands in the name of Shree Jagannath Mahapravu bije Srikshetra Puri, C/o Shreemandir Managing Committee, Badadanda, Puri. The temple stands at Badadeula sahi, Khata No-26 with 179 plots within. However, the patta still stands ‘not final’.
