lopamudra Mishra, daughter-in-law of industrialist Trailokya Mishra, who has lodged torture allegation against her in-laws and wife swapping charge against her husband,on Saturday failed to meet Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to apprise him about her grievances.
Sources said the Chief Minister left his residence to attend the second day’s district Collectors’ conference just before lopamudra arrived.
However, she has been given an appointment to meet the Chief Minister on a later date, sources said.
“I met the PA to the CM, and he advised me to meet the Personal Secretary to the CM for an appointment. I believe that the CM will ensure speedy justice to me,” said lopamudra.
Decrying the police inaction, she said 45 days have been elapsed since she lodged a case with the police, but nothing tangible has happened as yet.
Notably, she has filed an FIR at the Mahila police station here last month accusing her husband Sabyasachi, father-in-law Trailokya Mishra and mother-in-law Ashamanjari of mentally and physically harassing her since her marriage in 2006.
Besides, she has levelled wife swapping allegations against husband Sabyasachi while they were on their honeymoon to Port Blair. She has also alleged that Sabyasachi had forced her into wife-swapping during their trip to Goa too.
Notably, the Commissionerate police on Friday pasted a notice (latka) at the house of Trailokya Mishra in the Satyanagar area here asking him and his son and wife to depose at the Mahila police station on or before June 22 to record their statements in connection with the torture case lodged by lopamudra.
