Leader of Opposition Pradipta Kumar Nayak on Friday severely criticised the State Government for dismissing computer teachers from high schools and demanded that they be reappointed soon.
Raising the issue during Zero Hour Naik said that the Government has ousted more than 4,000 ICT coordinators (computer teachers) from high schools across the State.
They have now taken to the streets. The future of students has been pushed into dark.
Stating that the School and Mass Education Department has announced to establish 2,000 computor labs in high schools, Naik wanted to know how the Government would run those labs when teachers have been driven away and computers have been defunct.
He urged the Speaker to direct the Government to take all efforts to reappoint the ICT coordinators soon.
