The ATM that was looted recently by miscreants from Tulasipur Chhak under the Begunia police station in Khordha district was found in the Puri canal near Pahala on the city outskirts on Friday.
Sources said that on the directions of Khordha SP Dipti Ranjay Ray, a police team led by SDPO Jugal Kishore Das conducted a raid in the area and recovered the ATM dumped in the canal. Besides, police detained two persons in the connection and seized cash from their possession.
The two accused are being interrogated to unearth more information, said a police official.
It may be mentioned here that some unidentified miscreants had vandalised an ATM counter of Tata Indicash at Tulasipur Chhack and later decamped with the machine after uprooting it on November 11 night.
