--Suspect still decomposed bodies lying trapped
: The residents living near the multiple train crash site at Bahanaga have complained that they are unable to bear stinking smell emanating from the damaged compartments lying beside lines as still there could be bodies trapped inside.
"We are requesting the authorities to remove these crashed racks from the place or else, we would be forced to embark on dharna," warned a few locals.
According to them , one of the two Yesvantpur- Howrah Express coaches still remains upturned at the accident spot and the foul smell emanating from them is unbearable.
“Although foul smell was experienced ever since the fatal mishap occurred yet the stench from the coaches emanated viciously after a shower on Tuesday. We are living with kids. How could one live under such circumstances? It is very difficult to live and carry out our day- to-day work due to the unbearable rotten smell. We suspect more bodies are left in the crashed coaches and urge the authorities to remove them as soon as possible," the villagers rued.
However, the Railway authorities here, without wishing to be named, maintained that the NDRF,ODRF and Fire brigade personnel engaged in the rescue operation have already given clearance that no bodies were left in the coaches.
