Residents of the VSS Nagar and 15 nearby mouzas under the banner of the Undergound Road Sangram Samiti blocked the National Highway at Vani Vihar here on Monday in protest against the delay in making the underpass motorable.
However, they withdrew the road blockade as ACP Kishore Chandra Munda came to them and assured them that the undergoing work would be completed within four days.
“We have put off the protest on the ACP’s assurance for a temporary period,” said protestors. Among others, Samiti president Krushna Chandra Sahoo and coordinator Dilip Dashasharma and four Corporaters Nirmal Chandra Rout, Rashmita Mohanty, Pranati Nayak and Sasmita Das were present.
