The pension and community insurance branches of the life Insurance Corporation (lIC) of India held a Social Security Month samaroh in the presence of Chief Conservator of Forests (Kendu leaves) Bhanu Pratap Singh here on Thursday.
Singh informed that around 6.20 lakh Kendu leaf workers have been covered under the insurance policy and assured to include the remaining Kendu leaf workers in the insurance policy.
State Textile and Handloom Director Sanjay Kumar Hawda emphasised on the significance of social security, whereas Middle-East Zone manager of lIC NP Chowla assured to supply all kinds of assistance by the lIC in
ensuring all the facilities to the beneficiaries under the social security scheme.
Among others, lIC Middle-East Zone Regional Manager (Pension & Community Insurance) Girish Kumar, Senior Manager of Bhubaneswar Region B Majhi and Community Insurance Branch Manager Akshay Kumar Sahoo were present.
