Let Govts bear service costs in pvt institutes

PNS

The Manav Adhikar Surakshya Manch has urged the Union and the State Governments to jointly bear the service expenditure paid through “Pay My Bill” to private education and health institutions.

Manch members placed this demand in a memorandum sent to Prime Minister Nrandra Modi through Revenue Divisional Commissioner, Southern Division after its 96th Ghanta Yatra held here on Monday.

“Even as your Government is ruling the country since 2014, there is no development marked in the fields of education, health, livelihood, railway and mobile network in Odisha. Your Government has not fulfilled any of promises made in 2014.

The current 2019 Budget lacks such provisions,” alleged Manch convenor Abani Kumar Gaya.

Mentioning that both Union and State should bear expenditures under the Right to Education Act 2009 and National Health Policy 2017, Gaya alleged the Centre is not implementing the Acts properly to favour the private organisations working in the field. People are suffering a lot.

“Hence, we request you to take steps so that both the Union Governmt and the State Government bear the expenditure borne by poor people  in private educational and health institutions through the “Pay My Bill” scheme,” urged Gaya.
