The Bari Swabhiman Mancha alleged in a Press note here that there is corruption in the appointment of Lecturers in the Sabitri Devi Sanskrit College in Jajpur district.
Secretary of the Mancha Anil Kumar Das told some dishonest officers of Higher Education Department have validated the appointment by overlooking several discrepancies and even provided Block Grant illegally against the posts. Though complaints were lodged before the Higher Education Department authorities but no action was taken, alleged Das.
After getting order from the Chief Minister’s office an inquiry was done in this matter. The Regional Director of Education marked irregularities in his letter dated September 27, 2021 vide No. 39007.
He recommended to the Higher Education Department to take action against all those involved in the irregularities. But surprisingly, the HE Department did not take any action and remained silent.
If action is not taken soon, the Bari Swaviman Mancha would hold agitation in Bhubaneswar, warned Mancha secretary Das.
