Kunduli probe panel term extended

PNS

The State Government on Friday extended the tenure of the Commission of Inquiry into the sensational Kunduli gangrape and suicide case by three months.

The tenure of the probe panel was earlier scheduled to end on June 25.

This is the second time the Government has extended the tenure of the commission.

Earlier, the tenure of the commission had expired on March 25, 2018, but the Home Department on March 26 had extended it by three months.

Notably, the Government had on January 6 constituted the inquiry commission headed by the Koraput District Judge to investigate into the alleged gangrape of a minor Dalit girl at Kunduli in Koraput district.
