Members of different social and political organisations here on Monday paid rich tributes to Paralakhemundi Maharaja Krushna Chandra Gajapati on his 131st birth anniversary.
At a meeting at MKCG Medical College premises, they garlanded the statute of late Maharaja. Floral tributes were also paid on his photos and memorials in various other places of the town including one at Giri Market.
Addressing the gathering Gajapati Smurti Committee member Lalit Mohan Rajaguru and Trithabasi Panda, Sardar Ballav Bhai Patel Bahumukhi Sangha secretary Rama Kumar Patro, Manav Adhikar Surakhya Mancha leader Abani Gaya, Utkal Samilini members Dr Nakul Sahu highlighted the different aspects of Maharaja’s life and time and rich contributions he made for forming a separate Odisha State.
