Koraput district Collector Jay Kumar V has been selected for the Chief Minister Award for excellence and innovation in governance and public service delivery for the year 2013-2014.
During his tenure as Collector of Nuapada district, Jaya Kumar V had mooted and successfully implemented a project, ‘Rural Housing Scheme. For this achievement, he has been selected for the award, sources said. Jay Kumar would be given the award at State Secretariat in Bhubaneswar on October 14.
Following the announcement, Koraput people have congratulated the Collector and expressed hopes that he would too take Koraput district on path of development.
After taking charge, Jaya Kumar has introduced biometricmachine in all Government offices and videoconferencing systems for BDOs and other officers. He has also organised several grievance meetings in Maoist-affected areas to directly know about development works from the people.
