The District Blood Donors’ and Motivators’ Forum (DBDMF), Koraput observed the World Blood Donor Day at the Semiliguda Press Club on Sunday. Sunabeda Municipality Executive Officer Alok Ranjan Samantaray inaugurated the function and stressed that the voluntary blood donation campaign by the forum needs to be taken to gram panchayat level to aware more people on the social cause and make cent per cent blood donation in the district.
Maa Ghar, Koraput Vice-president Shaheda Parween joined the event as chief speaker. Among others, DBDMF organising secretary Dr Uma Patra and treasurer Shaik Ibrahim spoke. Besides, 10 voluntary motivators were felicitated on the occasion. later, a voluntary blood donation camp was organized, from where 41 units of blood were collected.
