In yet another migrant labour issue, a labourer of Kiarbanka vlllage on Saturday lodged an FIR in the Mahakalpada police station alleging that a middleman who had taken him to Chennai for work physically tortured him there.
In his FIR, Badal Das (38) informed that he had gone to Chennai with Hemant Hati of Guhalkani village to work as a rod binder. But Hemant engaged him to work in a four-storied building construction site. As he refused to work at the risky site, Hemant tortured him physically. He managed to come back home recently. The police have registered a case in this regard and started investigation.
