District Collector Debaraj Senapati has directed his officials and clerical staff to reach office on time during the ongoing morning hours. He threatened them of taking action if they are found to be reaching late. According to official sources, Senapati on Saturday made a surprise visit to several offices attached in his collectorate at about 8.30 am. To his chagrin, he found several senior officials and clerical staff were not available in their chairs.
The morning hours of work in all Government offices starts from 7 am to 1 pm. He also found that many people who had come there with works were moving in front of the office and waiting for the officials. “I have directed the senior officials and the staff to reach the office on time. If there is any lapse, departmental proceedings would be initiated against them,” Senapati told.
