The special taskforce of the Crime Branch on Mondayarrested Gayadhar Tarai, the main accused in the murder case of contractor Prakash Sethy, from Mahanga in the district.
Police sources said Tarai of the Rajnagar area in the district would be produced in court later in the day. In March last year, Sethy was shot dead by two unidentified miscreants at Padmanavpur on the Chandikhol- Paradeep Express Highway in Jajpur district.
The incident took place when the victim was travelling by his motorcycle to his native place from Chandikhol along with a friend.
Police sources said the crime was fallout of previous enmity.
