Union Tribal Welfare Minister Jual Oram has sought an inquiry into the illegal iron ore stacked near a railway siding in Sundargarh district. In a letter to Union Mines Minister Narendra Singh Tomar on Thursday, Oram said a huge stock of minerals has been found near the Rengra railway siding in the Koida mines area of Sundargarh district recently. While the minerals have been stacked for transportation, there has been no claim of these minerals by any mine owner, he said. Oram requested Tomar to send a team of officials of the Indian Bureau of Mines (IBM) to probe into the incident and initiate appropriate action in this regard.
