A Bhoomi Pujan ceremony of Keonjhar branch of Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS), named as SN Mohanty-KISS, was held on Wednesday. The KISS had purchased 20 acres of land in Ghutukeshari village under Naranpur panchayat in 2008 for institute, which will ensure quality education for tribal children of Keonjhar district. The SN Mohanty Group, which was founded by an eminent Odia and kind-hearted entrepreneur, has extended all financial support to establishment of institute, said KIIT and KISS founder Dr Achyuta Samanta. In first phase, students of Keonjhar district will be enrolled from Standards-I to X from July 2022. It has been decided by KISS that only candidates from Kendujhar district will get employment in SN Mohanty-KISS, said Dr Samanta. Chairman, SN Mohanty Group Pradipta Mohanty was present among others.
