KIIT Int'l Model UN summit concludes

PNS

The fourth KIIT International School Model United Nations (MUN) Summit at the KIIT International School here concludedon Sunday.

Student representatives of various schools in the country and abroad representing the member countries of the UN discussed and debated during this three-day submit.

Addressing the valedictory session, Governor Dr SC Jamir said if youths of a country learn to understand and accept each other, the possibilities of discrimination and cultural conflicts would die out. This is the time for young generation to break barriers, join hands and build a friendship bond and human solidarity around the world, he added.

KIIT and KISS Founder Dr Achyuta Samanta highlighted the role of policy makers in creating a balanced harmonious world order. He felt that heightened parental expectation, ambitious faculty and a rather critical peer group is responsible for the lack of patience and often cosmetic involvement of young people in the world issues around them.
