AICC secretary and INTUC national vice-president Dr Rama Chandra Khuntia on Tuesday met Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi at the latter’s residence in New Delhi and apprised him about the party organisation in Telangana and tribal issues of Odisha.
Khuntia assured Gandhi that reconstitution process of Telangana Pradesh district committees, block committees, Mandal committees and booth committees to the completed bySeptember 30, 2016. He also apprised him how Forest Rights Act 2006 and land Acquisition Act 2013 have been violated in Telangana.
Besides, he also informed about the failure of Odisha Government to resolve Maoist issues and suppression of tribal movement by arresting Congress Tribal Cell, Odisha chief and former MP Pradecp Majhi and killing five innocent people in Kandhmal in the name of encounter.
He requested the party vice-president to support the State committees to build up movements against the oppressive acts of the Telangana and Odisha Governments.
